Amber Sky Jersey's Carla, 'Carla' is a sweet natured English type black Labrador Retriever.
She is an excellent example of our second generation of breeding at Amber Sky/Rumajas Labrador
Retrievers. Carla has a nice square head, thick bone, a nice dark black coat, and is extremely
athletic. She is sired by our own Finn (Amber Sky Mudboat Finn) and
whelped by Jersey (Jersey Buckey Corley). Carla is a littermate
to our Cora (Amber Sky Jersey Cora). She has inherited the best
traits from both of her parents, from Finn her English type build, her square head,
and significant bone. From Jersey, Carla inherited her athletic ability, her quickness,
and retrieving drive.
Carla is a descendant from one of our two foundation bitches, Naomi
(Cupid's Touch of Daylyn) a short stocky English type black Labrador Retriever. She is one
of the first pups that we kept from breeding Finn and Jersey who have had several
excellent litters together. Her pedigree combines excellent bench (show) championship
lines with outstanding working field Labradors many with AFC (American Field Champion),
MH (Master Hunter), or JH (Junior Hunter) titles. Carla was one of five black females
in her litter and we rated her as the best at the time they were ready to go home.
We have great expectations for Carla as she is full of promise. Carla is already
developing into a strong retriever at the age of 3 months and is starting to swim
as well. She is quick in learning and takes after her mother in constantly circling
back in front of you when you take her for a walk.
