LEAH'S PEDIGREE
Rumajas Amber Sky Leah, 'Leah' is a super sweet, super calm Labrador that as a puppy was way
ahead of her age in her calmness and manners. She has met hundreds of people and is a friend to all.
As a puppy she was a very light yellow, almost white in color and as she has been maturing she
has continued to darken as all yellow Labradors do. Leah is sired by our own
Sonny (Manorview's Sundance Kid) and whelped by our own Cassie
(Rumajas Amber Sky Cassandra) and is an excellent example of our third generation of breeding. She is one
of two Labradors that we have kept from the pairing of Sonny and Cassie. Leah, much like her sister
Stella is an excellent example of a well-bred "English" type yellow female Labrador.
Leah is an excellent example of the type and temperament that we strive to produce and owes
these attributes to the many fine Labradors before her.
As for Leah's calm, loving temperament
it is a combination of the many calm, loving Labradors before her and her work as a therapy dog in
a special needs classroom at a local high school here in Northeast Ohio. Leah was raised for the first
six months of her life by students who need extra attention in school due to either physical or behavioral
problems that made it difficult for them to achieve to their full potential academically and to participate fully
in the social experiences that comprise high school. Students would interact with Leah everyday and were responsible
for all facets of her care and well being. Leah thrived under the attention and developed a strong sense of
the needs of people that she interacted with and often focused only on that one person that was interacting with her, in
turn making them feel accepted and loved.
We are expecting Leah to continue to mature and look much like her dam,
Cassie with her sire's coloring, however she will be a bit darker than her mother. Leah can
trace her lineage to one of our foundation dogs, Terra (Rumajas Lady Terra) through her
grand-dam, Chelsea (Rumajas Amber Sky Chelsea). All of the previously mentioned
